For the Purple Line project in Bangkok Thailand, J-TREC will provide 21 sets of three-car Sustina Commuter trains, while JR East will set up a local maintenance firm to handle Purple Line’s comprehensive maintenance program including rolling stock and infrastructure maintenance for 10 years after its commencement in 2016.

Irish Rail 8500, 8510 & 8520 Series EMU

Since the initial delivery in 2000 for 16 cars of 8500 series EMU, J-TREC has manufactured a total of 68 cars of EMU series for commuter transport in the city of Dublin. All the requirements are satisfied for CE marking as a product put on the market in Europe. Passenger and crew safety is ensured by following European standards for structural requirements, fire safety and electromagnetic compatibility. Exterior and interior accommodations have been designed in accordance with RVAR (Rail Vehicle Accessibility Regulations), now part of TSI-PRM. Bogie design is a bolsterless type specially made for wide 1600mm gauge on the Irish network.

JR East Series E233 EMU

East Japan Railway Series E233

Series E233 is the latest commuter train model developed for operations in Greater Tokyo area. Major systems that are critical for regular train operation such as propulsion system, auxiliary power unit and pantographs are configured as dual system for higher redundancy and reliability. Interior design takes due consideration for universal design including ergonomically-designed, curved hand poles that are easy to grab for standing passengers and air purifiers which keep interior atmosphere always clean and fresh. Exterior destination sign utilizes multi-color LEDs and onboard passenger information system employs high resolution LCDs offering real-time train information and advertisement.

Nankai Electric Railway Series 12000 EMU

Nankai Electric Railway Series 12000

Series 12000 is used for intercity express train service on Nankai Electric Railway with a nickname “Southern Premium” to symbolize its route connecting Osaka and Wakayama, located south of Osaka. Reclining seats with power sockets are installed on all cars with air purifiers in the passenger room and security cameras in the vestibules to provide comfortable and secure passenger space. Wheelchair accessible toilet is located in cab car.
